Also true, but most of those have to do with the character of Superman himself and not the plausibility of the humans around him.

This is the episode that finally made me drop all suspension of
disbelief and really question why the fuck one of the top reporters in
the city of Metropolis cannot figure out who Superman really is.
Wasn't sure if was common knowledge or just one of those internet rumors, it had been so long since I read/heard it. Good to (re)know!
I always thought that the "Spam" sketch was the reason junk email earned the nickname. As in, you'd look through your inbox and see "spam, spam, spam, spam, real, spam, spam, real, and spam" just like reading the diner's menu.
WITH MY LAST BREATH, I BLAME ZOIDBERG!
Now, now, now… perfectly symmetrical violence never solved anything.
Hmm. Now I want to see Pimparoo's pimpmobile.
Youtube suggests that was Animal Planet as well (although aren't they all owned by the same parent company anyway?). I remember watching that one and thinking it was well-done, but it was very up-front about not being real.
"Anytime we do a Random Roles with someone who was on Gargoyles and it isn’t brought up, we hear about it."
Already purchased, received, and watched. But thanks!
Yeah that was my reaction too, @avclub-825d2ea00913a4aa9bdf8e72cd2ea810:disqus. There was no way I was signing up for Disney's Movie Club so paying $45 for this via eBay seemed justifiable. It should be here by the end of the week. :D
The possibility of us finally getting the rest of Season 2 on DVD has made this much more likely.
To be fair? "Not funny and way too obvious" sounds like a perfect parody of Scooby Doo to me.
It had roots in both, I thought. And while Strawberry Shortcake may not have had a regular series in the 80s, it did have half a dozen annual animated specials (according to Google and Wikipedia).
Speaking of, the wristwatch communicator gag in this episode was great.
@avclub-fce88321c6d9b474fa62e53042243f48:disqus Hopefully the torsion was just that one batch…
They have so many awesome guest voice stars that it's hard to keep track.
I would speculate that Dean's knowledge of Hank's jumping off the roof came from the dude who told him he was a clone in the first place (the name escapes me atm).
"No rich young white guy has ever gotten anywhere with me comparing himself to Rosa Parks"
Dodger is the best Dickens novel I've ever read. Mostly because I hate Dickens.
