Movies that are defensive:
I majored in Old Women and Film. My thesis on Driving Miss Daisy was well received.
Yeah, i watched some of this and was not moved. I guess I haven't gotten past that arbitrary thing about movies "telling stories" and "not being really annoying"
She's pretty milf-ish in person. Well, she doesn't really look like a mom exactly. Like a cool older chick who maybe parties a bit too much but has a cute smile and awesome hair and carries herself in a pretty sexy manner.
Wow, that Marc Warren guy actually looks like Sting. Never seen him act, but looking the part is half the battle.
If you like this type of game, and you can deal with pretty complex leveling and skill systems, I would highly recommend the Disgaea series. There are entries in the series for PS2, PS3, PSP, and DS, so there's a good chance you can play some version of it.
Advance Wars is actually made by the same developers, and has a lot of similarities. There's a couple of big differences, though. Fire Emblem is an RPG as well as a strategy game. You can't simply build units the way you do in AW, and your characters get stronger as the game progresses.
There's a new Oregon Trail for the Iphone and Touch. I hope it gets ported to PC or DS.
we're so pretty
oh so pretty
Ecks vs. Sever is the very rare case where a pretty decent video game was made out of a lousy flop movie.
I have to admit, when I first heard of this I was sure it was a joke.
Yeah, the problem isn't that Constantine was a terrible movie (although it's pretty mediocre by any standard), it's that the movie version of Constantine shares nothing but a name with the Hellblazer guy. They turned it into a grim, humorless genre exercise (very much in style at the time), while the comics were…
I agree. I has mixed feelings about the pilot, but was intrigued. It's really evolved into a really good show, instead of just an interesting one.
I don't see what was good about "Demon Woman". It was pretty low on jokes. The episode was humorous, and I laughed at the karaoke song ("with the characteristics of a pheasant/Of a pheasant!" but it still seems like the songs are getting less funny while the dialog is getting funnier. And while the guest stars and…
I like the New Yorker, but if you meet someone who has a New Yorker cartoon calendar or the like, it's like they're wearing a giant bumper sticker that says "I'm an a-hole". God I hate those cartoons.
Something tells me that it will still be 900 pages and nobody will be able to tell the difference between it and the ones that he finished.
I personally think the Snuggie isn't an inherently terrible idea. However, the name and the godawful colors assure that only shut-ins will ever buy one.
Why are comic book fans like this? Like the stories in the books are some special thing you don't want to share with the masses? It's not that the comics don't "stand on their own" or whatever. If they make a bad movie of Ronin, we can all ignore it. If they make a good one, there's one more good movie in the…
I like FF Tactics, even Advance editions, but the latest ones are kids games compared to Fire Emblem.
