Hip house is just a blip on the radar for sure, and I will never listen to more of it than I do funk. I just think it would be amusing to start rehabbing subgenres that have no critical cred at all. And if anyone can do it, the AVClub can.

really, funk has a lot of cred. I would like to see a blog post standing up for a really underappreciated musical genre, like hip-house or 90's r & b. I would like to argue Technotronic vs. Deee-Lite or drop my theories on TLC's first 2 albums.
