I really do like Collinsworth in the booth. I know he sounds drunk, and his voice isn't exactly soothing music to the ears, but he is goddamned entertaining!

Ha ha! That is truly the best part. He was so surprised that he panicked…and fell down? What the actual fuck! At least run, do a flip, try to get, what was it, 3 damn yards? Truly spectacular.
I would love to see them try it again, or maybe the Patriots try it on someone this week and actually have it work…would be a nice "fuck you" to the Colts, and Belicheck is just the man to do it!
Indeed…it's times like these that I miss Art Shell.
I agree to all of this for sure. I liked St. Vincent, but it wasn't magnificent. I think he needs a director/foil to challenge him again? Maybe Sofia Coppola or something—I would love to see what a Scorsese/Tarantino/PT Anderson could do with that persona so that it doesn't keep getting more and more stale.
You know, that's interesting…I love Murray so, so much—like so many other people, I guess. But the previews make this look like he's just flop sweating in this. Trying so hard to be Bill Murray or wacky or whatever. His easy going charm is what always works, whether it's in comedy or drama. When he kind of goes…
I just listened to the DVD commentary of The Thing, and he just seems like a good dude. He and Carpenter laugh and laugh…I wanna hang with him and have him teach me how to grow the Wyatt Earp mustache.
The damn Hammer Bros. still hurt me so hard in level 8, damnit. I'm still not very good, either.
I think it took me 10 years to actually beat this game! Of course, that was way back in the day when Nintendo Power/other friends were the only source of help. But I, too, was proud when I finally beat any of the castle levels!
Indeed. I love the hell out of football and I sometimes wonder why. Sometimes I just like to have a game on in the background while I'm doing something else. There is nothing quite as fun and as frustrating as watching a team that I am emotionally invested in—the stops and starts of the game, TV timeouts, all the…
Glad to have this column back! Yay Block & Tackle!
Wow! Thanks for all the great info! And I totally get it. It took me a long time to even warm to it, much less find the good parts.
That was pretty fucking rad.
Very nice…and I do like Freddy Vs. Jason a lot, too. Forgot to mention that one above.
Ha, I like VI a lot, too. I like the telekenisis girl and her would-be boyfriend's stupid friends and the stupid doctor and the stupid mother. Nice to have Jason get kind of beat up here and there—and wasn't Hodder Jason in this one? Such a great characterization, really. VII seems to hold up pretty well as does IV.…
Well, I would say pretty much forget side two and three. They are a mess, and it's like hacking through a jungle to find the good stuff. Side one and four are your best bets. Side one, especially, if you like to hear what Steve Howe can really do in this format. He's the one driving this song. I think the whole track…
And the fantastic Tony Thompson on drums!
Ha! Indeed…I go through phrases where I can stomach it, but most often I'm still pretty bored by sides 2-3. There are certain parts here and there that are really beautiful, though.
Oooooh, that's a good one. I remember reading some time ago that Brad Pitt was interested in making one? Not sure if he was going to star in it, too, but I assume so.
Would love 3-4 episodes on just the game of Eschaton!
