It really is a great scene, jeez. Reeve really goes for it—his evil Supe is really something. He attacks it with relish, and I've always read the scene as probably his very real frustration in being hemmed into the role. He just loved to have something different to do. He sneers and froths and turns red and the veins

That's a great point…had never thought of that before.

Yep…"Scruffy…a sentimental relic of a planet long since past." I think he even wrinkles his nose in disgust.

Yep…the way she screams and then is muffled by the metal thing coming down over her mouth. That was nightmare fuel for a long time.

This is so true! And the fucking footnotes—hell, I think they surpassed the actual text a lot of the times. Very funny, clever and insightful.

I think I did it in about a month. Dedicated myself to reading a chunk each night. Just bore down and plowed ahead even when I was a bit bewildered. In the end—just incredibly, amazingly rewarding.

I agree totally. The levels are very cool—I'm a particular fan of the carnival—but a world like that damn one filled with dinosaurs or the fucking factory…jesus, they are endless. Tons of walking and then you gotta leave and come back 12 times. Simple is definitely better. Would love to see a nice comeback for Banjo

Yes! I loved Banjo so much. Used to play it for hours and hours—got to the point where I would just speed run the shit out of it. Think my best time for maximum collection (all the puzzle pieces plus the game show and final battle) was about four and a half hours. Still love it. Good humor and great gameplay.

Fake announcement.

Yay! You are in for so much fun. I recommend Space Mutiny for sure, The Final Sacrifice, Werewolf—these were already mentioned and with good reason. Might I also recommend Hobgoblins, Merlin's Magical Shop of Wonders, Soultaker and Mitchell. Also can't go wrong with any of the shorts—those are a good way to ease into

Hey, I read it! And good luck!

This is a great comment. PTA's career certainly seems to be heading in a direction I never anticipated, and it's thrilling. Your mention of Wes Anderson is quite apt. I really enjoyed Wes' latest, but I find it interesting that it's in one ear and out the other. I enjoy it while I'm watching it, but that's it. And I

Indeed on the allies thing…Van Cleef holds his own as a personality in both films.

Ha! That's a great one…amazing timing from Cleese as always. And yes for General Reiken! Every time I watch Empire i can only think of his fucking salad when he's on screen.

It's just like a Waldorf!

Absolutely love "Red." Many many years later, I find myself pretty impressed with "The Power To Believe."

Yes! I wish I could write something half that good once in my life. "Meek and obedient, you follow the leaders, down well trodden corridors into the valley of steeeeeeeeeeeel," all spat out with a punch that's almost like punk music.

Amazing lyrics, compressed production (well, it was different for them, anyway), and some of Gilmour's finest work. The solos on "Dogs" are still shiver worthy. He knew a kind of blues that Clapton only dreams about.

I agree. Hell, I even like Red Rose Speedway.

I get sucked into both Alien and Aliens every time they are on TV, which seems to be often, lately. Aliens still has unbelievable tension and fantastic action sequences. Weaver is so good in that film—it's just amazing how tough, resourceful and smart she is. Cameron at his peak.
