One of my favorite "Fry is dumb" moments. It's so blissfully simple and works so brilliantly well.

Well, I'm boned.
You're absolutely right about people needing to change. You have to adapt in this game or you're not going to win.
Holy crap, Palau was 10 years ago. I am old.
There's also the theory that Christy voted for the wrong person at the end because she didn't understand the rules, which is kind of hilarious.
Ethan actually came to my college to give a speech about his experiences on Survivor (this was about ten years ago — right after All Stars aired). I got a chance to ask him a question, and of course I asked him about Rupert's shelter. He was not happy about it, to say the least.
That's my favorite Coach as well. And I actually love Coach and will defend him to the death if necessary. Great Survivor character. Much more palatable than a Phillip (though I actually have a soft spot for him too, dammit).
I'm 32 myself and I look like a teenager compared to that guy. There's no way he's 32. I could've sworn he was 45.
Through the Looking Glass might just be the best network television episode (episodes? it's a 2-parter iirc) of anything that has ever aired.
Oh god. I had purged all memories of Jack's tattoos from my mind. And now they're back…
No — the writer's strike happened the next year (2007). I'm pretty sure the decision to split the season up came rather late in the production cycle, so that they could eventually air the back part of season 3 weekly so as to avoid repeats, which were huge ratings losses for the show due to its serial nature.
Remember when the Food Network kept trying to make Zoe Feigenbaum into a thing? She was on Chopped twice, winning in the worst possibly way (she won because her competitor got blood in his dessert) and another show called "Chef Marks the Spot" that she also lost.
That always drives me crazy as well. I think Chopped needs a moratorium on those speeches.
That's actually the one thing I don't like about Aaron Sanchez. We know it's not real, authentic Mexican food. But authentic Mexican food isn't made with apricot, sugar puff cereal, codfish, and whatever else mystery ingredient is in the box. The competition isn't about authenticity — it's about creativity.
It was one of the worst films I saw in theaters in 2013. It's sophomoric politics reminded me of every high school conversation about how we thought the world worked. It was basically the equivalent of, "What if the government, like, gave everyone a million dollars, man? Then no one would be poor!"
I don't think it's all that uncommon for some returning players to get appearance fees to be on the show nowadays. That probably wasn't the case in the early history of Survivor.
Excuse me, but I believe it was "BYE BYE DENVER DIVA."
That reminds me of the episode of the Office where Michael Scott cut the legs off his slacks and then later duct-taped them back on.
Finally got to see the premier. I was legit shocked by So's poor social game, but then I realized she was obviously a recruit. She had no chance and it was entirely her own fault. Out of all the targets on that tribe (Ok, so Shirin and Carolyn), she should not have gone home. She "pulled a Garrett" for sure.
I deleted a response to someone earlier because I was afraid it would be taken as sarcastic or mean when I was genuine, but the hyperbolic response to The Order genuinely baffles me. It's like people are personally offended that the game didn't live up to their expectations. No one is forcing anyone to buy it let…
