If I recall Keith's biography correctly, Keys being "too strung out to continue" occurred when he refused to get out of a bathtub filled with champagne that he was sharing a girl. Keith claimed Keys actually owed the tour money after accounting for all the bottles of bubbly it took to fill the tub.
