I actually think that "Torn Curtain" is a little weak and kind of cheesy compared to the rest of that album. But I'm nitpicking, great fucking record.

"Boredom" by the Buzzcocks is the punkest solo ever. Two notes that obstinately refuse to go anywhere.

"Painkiller" and "Ram it Down" are my favorite Priest guitar duels.

"Logic" is a good word for it. And as much as I'm usually left cold by music that tries to be "cinematic" that bit in particular really nails it. It feels like it could belong in a trailer for a huge sci-fi action movie like Pacific Rim or something but still sounds totally uncheesy and unpretentious.

Also the absolute most perfect speedrock solo is Motorhead's "Ace of Spades"
