One of the if not the best new show, and impressively manages to pull off a very delicate balancing act between heartfelt, hilarious, and very very heightened soap opera stuff whilst being ridiculous in the best way possible.

Exactly. This is what's been annoying me a lot lately. All the characters get pretty much what they want, whilst jumping over petty obstacles that feel forced and lack any feeling of stakes because - duh - they'll get want they want.

I do the exact same thing. And if I'm quite interested the show gets up to 5 episodes to fully engage me. Then I decide.

When I saw this in the cinema, my friends and I could not stop laughing at how bad and ridiculous everything was. When the movie finished, everyone stood up and started shouting about how absolutely shit the movie was.
