@Lemur: You… really don't know what you're talking about. Playing video games and reading comic books are indicators of extended adolescence? What the fuck do the particular mediums you enjoy have to do with your level of maturity?

Being Loud
I'm of two minds about loud comments or reactions at the theatre. On the one hand, it's reasonable to be angry if you have to hear "who's that guy" and "why did that happen" every two minutes from the row behind you. Conversely, sometimes a loud, inappropriate comment is the most memorable thing about a…
I'm not sure why anyone would need to timecheck in the middle of a movie anyway. You know when the movie begins. It will probably end 90-120 minutes after that. In between, I would imagine most people can make a fairly accurate guess at the current time.
Why would you bother being a gimmick poster if you're not even going to try? And then get mad at people for telling you you're doing a shit job?
The General Public
The first thing this reminded me of was that short film the Coens made for some film festival (Cannes?). The one where Josh Brolin walks into a movie theatre in full cowboy gear and a hayseed accent, and has to pick between a couple of artsy movies about like Albanian farmers and a Parisian romance…

I remember a while back, on one of the comment sections, somebody started pointing out the parallels of Hank's current situation with Walter's move to crime. Something along the lines of: Now injured, Hank must pay off his exorbitant hospital bills. From years of DEA experience, he has an intricate knowledge of the…
Maybe not of all time, but yeah. I always felt 100 Bullets was a little underappreciated. Like everyone was excited and considered it groundbreaking in the early 2000s, but all that attention sort of fizzled just when it was getting to the good part.
I think there's an Azzarello interview out there where the interviewer asks him if he was more interested in neo-noir directors like Tarantino who sort of deconstruct the style, or if he considered 100 Bullets to simply be a new story in the noir tradition. He said it was meant to be a straight-up noir. So yeah, I…
Let's be serious here. It's a bad idea to compare any show to The Wire. Largely because I don't think anything of that scope has ever been attempted elsewhere. Mad Men on par with The Wire? Please.
Backing up Sam on this one; for me, Risso is in contention for best comics artwork of the past 20 years. He has an absolutely incredible sense of locale, and 100 Bullets really lets him shine, being such a multinational series. This is with regards to setting and architecture, but also simply with regards to character…
Okay, now what was the "second greatest crime in history" that Graves refused to commit, leading to the clusterfuck in Atlantic City? The first was the theft of America, right? So I always assumed it would have to be another giant power grab, but I don't think it was ever explicitly stated?
*SPOILERS*
What?
Duke 3d was EXACTLY as talented and interesting as Guns 'n' Roses. Take that whichever way you like.
At the risk of being insensitive, I have to agree with the Archmage. Lack of education, access to good food, and lack of money are not even close to valid excuses. A modicum of research will tell you that eggs, broccoli, milk, whole grain bread etc are better for you than burgers, as if you didn't already know that.…
Circumcision debates are always a shitstorm where people's feelings get hurt because nearly everyone's side of the argument was decided for them at birth. In light of this fact, I will not add to the butthurt, but rather draw attention to a statement that I think both sides can agree is flat-out retarded:
^Yeah, pretty much this. There are lots of reasons to dislike Juggalo culture, but they're probably more racially tolerant than most batshit insane subcultures. Likewise, I'm not sure why Aldo thinks they're… American libertarians or hillbillies or something?
"Not everyone likes pop music guys."
Fuck it, I lol'd.
