It also kind of means, "I think you're a hypersensitive pansy-boy/girl, and if you can't handle the reality I'm dishing out, I feel sorry for y'all."

I find Ms Silverman particularly unfunny, especially on that fakakta show of hers.  She gets a lot of mileage out of being a semi-hot girl with a potty mouth.  I would consider her evidence in favor of Adam's theorem, and "Bridesmaids" evidence against.

It may come down to human mating rituals, where beta males compete for the attention of women (alpha males don't really need to compete).  So, lacking in alpha male physical characteristics, the beta males compete through their wits, either by improving hunting and/or gathering techniques, or by being the tribe cut-up.

I'm a dude, and possibly even a bro, I like beer, comfortable chairs, and looking at attractive women.  And yet, I've never in my life hated a show as much as I hated The Man Show.  Kimmel and Corolla are two of the most unlikable human beings ever to appear on television.

My review?  I love the show.  It's not hysterically funny, nor all that insightful.  But it is unique in its tone and setting.  I'm a sucker for "unique".

To parse it out.
Manic - most certainly
Pixie - hmmm - probably not - there's really not an appealing version of "pixie" for men
Dream Boy - yes yes yes*

Having spent some time there with a good friend who lives in Prospect Park, I think the show is pretty accurate.  Yes, there's lots of different folks in Brooklyn, but people still hang with their own for the most part.  not racism, just facts.

Nah, even the most eloquent American women of that generation beat the tar out of "like" in regular conversation.

"Sad White Babies with Mean Feminist Mommies" is the greatest title of anything ever.

between some amazing kid-appropriate anime, some pretty sweet super-hero stuff, and even Clone Wars, the 10-year-old set has it way better than the junk we had in the 70's-80's - though superfriends was not bad.

If I caught my kids watching Archer, I'd probably ground them for a month.  not a kids show.
