What I really like about Key & Peele is the way they shoot their sketches. They definitely seem to put a lot of effort into creating diverse visual styles for their sketches by switching aspect ratios and applying different filters to enhance the humor in a way that Dave Chappelle didn't really try (I admit that this

Good to know I wasn't the only one who was seeing that guy as Evil Randy.

As always this is pretty much my week, except I watched Blackboard Jungle and Bringing Up Baby as well. What is really weird is that I watched the Justice League/JLU series all the time as a kid as well as going through the series a few times later on, and until a few months ago I had never seen this episode. I was going through S1 with the AV Club recaps and then I continued on into S2 when all of a sudden there was an

I have to agree with the other people here, season 1 is not a great representation of Buffy and you should definitely try watching the second season before you give up on it. S1 has some of the elements that make the show great in its best seasons, but overall it feels too much like a bad, supernatural high school

I think this is the state most of the AV Club is in, I'm certainly doing it and a lot of people seem to be doing it on the pop culture weekend posts as well. Recently I've done Cheers, Deadwood, Frasier and now I'm in season 4 of Mary Tyler Moore.

As a film student I'm able to have marathons all the time (in fact I just re-watched Reaper in a two-day marathon this week) but my favourite is probably when me and my brother got really hooked on The Wire and watched the last three seasons over one weekend, pretty much just stopping for food and sleep. Or maybe the

I'm not sure that it got better in that era, but it certainly didn't get any worse (which is more than I can say for a lot of shows that make it past seven seasons). I also find those last two seasons particularly fascinating because, even more than in previous seasons, they experiment with the outer edges of what can

I think Tamati Ellison could probably slot in there without too much trouble, or maybe they could shift Carter out to second five and play Cruden at first.

As always, this is pretty much my weekend. I didn't listen to The Desert Music, however I did re-watch Psycho without @avclub-b0cb521aba34990a0004c654f205b22b:disqus. I had forgotten just how ridiculously cheap Psycho is, something which really comes through in the terrible sound design. The ambient track is
