The coverage in America sounds pretty bad (at least in that prime-time slot), but I'm finding the NZ coverage pretty good so far. Then again, I tend to try and watch all of the events live if I can as I hate watching delayed sports (even if I don't know the result) so there could be some terrible coverage in NZ that

The gag where Zoidberg briefly used the wrong hand to control Little Hermes was great and it reminded me of one of my favourite visual gags on the Simpsons. Its in the season 3 episode when the Germans take over the power plant, Smithers is using a hand puppet alligator called Snappy to talk to Mr. Burns and when Mr.

If you can get past the very terrible editing and occasionally weird framing, Alphas is almost exactly what you want from off-season programming (its not summer here so I'm not going to call it summer programming). While the X-men parallels abound, ultimately I feel the show's low key take on the superhero genre is

Excluding The Avengers, Captain America is my favorite Marvel film so far as well. I liked the way the film took the time to develop Steve Rodgers and the alternate reality 1940s setting, which allowed them to tell a good origin story. I remember enjoying the first episode of Saxondale  and then getting progressively less interested with every passing episode, despite how much I like Steve Coogan, because it seemed like they were essentially doing the same ideas (or very similar ones) every episode which meant the jokes started to become grating

I think Frasier starts to grate due to the more farcical elements of the show getting phased out in the later seasons (they make a resurgence in the last season though) as farce is what really made Frasier stand out from other 90s sitcoms and indeed most TV shows. The problem is that without those elements, Frasier is

As always, this is pretty much my week as well. I would just like to add that I'm very confused by an argument (which I've seen all over the place) that The Avengers is a worse film than The Dark Knight Rises simply because it is more fun and less self-serious. When did it become a crime to make a fun film?

Its interesting that this year the Crusaders have played a much more European (keeping the ball in the forwards, up and under kicks and less free running from the backs) style of rugby than all of the other NZ teams and yet they almost won the conference. The Stormers have also played a similar style and they ended up

They actually managed to get two nominations, there is one for Art Direction in "Cut Ties" as well.

I think Archer would have had a better chance if they submitted for best comedy instead of animation, at least then they would be able to go for the technical categories where quality is looked upon more favourably. Its interesting to note that a lot of AVClub favourites such as Community, Louie and Parks and

Well the last season isn't as good as the first three seasons, but it has some great episodes like Burning Man, Bomb Shelter, College Recruiters and Malcolm Defends Reece. While the season is still hampered by some of the weird choices made in those middle seasons (Reece joining the army, Malcolm's characterization

I can't see a voting box, but there does appear to be a large empty part of the screen at the end of the article where I assume one would be. Can I not see this area because I'm not American or currently residing in America? Or is it for some other reason (for example my crappy student internet)?
