You're right. I was thinking of the *original* Batman Adventures book from 1993 onward. The one they published alongside The Animated Series. Same universe though.

This is why "Legends of the Dark Knight" was such a better monthly Batman comic than the two main titles being published at the time.

Sava is a very enjoyable writer, with a strong knowledge of the history of comics, but it seems like his recommendations lend him to be much more of a fan of comics from the last 20 years than from earlier work. Maybe I'm wrong.

Well, I just *happened* to come across a collection of every issue of 'tec and Batman a few months back, so I couldn't resist. It really makes dipping in to any era for a few recommended issues easy. I like being a sort of "Batman historian" that way.
