Exactly. It's weird that Sims, who is supposedly a huge fan of the
show, is judging these episodes with criteria that have nothing to do with what Gilmore Girls is: a show driven by characters, comedy, and tone.

As much as I despise the awful things Christopher does, I love how ASP writes his and Lorelai's dynamic, particularly in season two. (Lauren and David also do an excellent job with what they're given.) They are utterly convincing friends and they have this unavoidable, unalterable chemistry, even after the shit hits
