No? They haven't really had EXPLOSIVE chemistry as Peter and Olivia, but I think that has more to do with Olivia's personality, because Peter and Altlivia sure did.

@avclub-977cf54e52109b5b2795406737cf36d4:disqus As this episode showed, none of the Observers besides Windmark even feel like four fugitives and their actions in 2036 matter in the grand scheme of things. I don't think even Windmark started being actively worried about them until Peter put the tech in his head.
She wasn't really thinking about it? I'm pretty sure that the first thing her mind jumped to was getting Etta back and she kept dwelling on that, instead of fully thinking about the consequences such a drastic measure would bring about.
I guess the kid is basically just a symbol for the only kind of being that could exist with empathy/emotions AND intelligence, so the scientists should just stop tampering with human intelligence and let humans follow their natural evolutionary path. Or something. I don't know. Or maybe the kid could show the…
The kid doesn't represent the natural evolutionary path, though, right? He was intended to become an Observer, but he ended up as an anomaly.
She is Olivia! I mean, if you accept season 4's conceit, the point was that these people were essentially the same people with a different set of experiences, and obviously, their lives were impacted by the lack of Peter in it. The universe is the same, it's just that the timeline was rewritten to exclude Peter. There…
Exactly. These characters have been through way too much. They really do deserve it. Bring on the sap, Fringe!
September is just nice and cares about people, even as an Observer, I guess. Which was probably influenced by this whole Michael thing, which somehow makes me love this show more.
Also, giving this one an A. I liked it a lot.
I'm chalking it up to Seth Gabel. He's too adorable to not fall in love with.
Lincoln Lee with a wedding band!
Never! I'm hundred percent with @Scrawler2:disqus on that one. Fringe has made that point more than once. ("She wasn't me. How could you not see that?")
Thank heavens.
I actually always thought that the new timeline being created had nothing to do with Etta having to be born specifically. Peter was always a variable, and then Henry came into the mix, and now they had two variables that would, I imagine, mess with the timeline and create a lot of unforseen (by the Observers)…
Seems like Graham Roland writes all the exposition-y episodes, then? It was definitely a very talky episode, but I actually really liked the exposition in this one. Michael Cerveris was excellent, and he totally sold it. Reminded me of that one Vampire Diaries episode which was basically one huge info dump about the…
Walter said once that cortexiphan was all Bell's idea. I'd like to think that what really fuelled him to actively take part in the experiments, as @Scrawler2:disqus said, was the need to send Peter back because of how unhappy he was in this universe.
YES. They all deserve to be in excellent things. Besides Joshua Jackson, Anna Torv and John Noble, I'm also wishing for big things for Jasika Nicole, but I'm pretty sure that's not happening anytime soon.
Me too. It's kind of weird, because the response on the Fringe boards has been pretty positive for the most part, apart from a few issues with the Observer scenario.
Agreed. There's not a single other comedy I look forward to so much every week.
Jess has her quirks, and of course she can be pretty childish, but I don't think immature is the right word for it.
Honestly? I think she's great. She's caring, kind, funny, and a good friend and a good person. I feel like her quirks are pretty well rounded out at this point.
