Consulting with Metacritic, I see most critics fell in between Pretty Good to Not Terrible territory.  To me, it was underwhelming.  A long dormant band going through the motions to keep the brand alive.  But I wouldn't hate on anyone for getting enjoyment out it.

I'm here to defend anyone who feels like everything the Strokes have released past Room On Fire, barring a few songs from FIOE, has been at best pale imitations of former glories and at worst fuel to all those detractors that always thought the band were one trick ponies.  Obviously I feel that way too.
