Too bad it isn't a 70mm print, but I'm guessing those are extremely hard to come by in the States.

The thing about Playtime is it takes a while for you to realize what you are watching.  All of it's points and pleasures come together in the back half of the film.  I recommend not watching it tired as the front half might induce napping and it would be a real shame if you ended up sleeping through the nightclub

I went on a minor Criterion bender on Saturday night, thanks to my roommate's Hulu Plus account.  City Lights, Playtime (never seen anything like it), La jetée and Knife in the Water.  God bless the Criterion collection.

I'd say Fitzcarraldo.  Aguirre is a slog to me.

Everybody knows that "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" was never a Nielsen top 10 hit.  What the article presupposes is… maybe it was?
