I adore Lost, but it would be no less great of a show without all the seemingly meaningful but ultimately tangential red herrings/dead ends it's haphazardly deployed for several years now with nothing in mind other than"deepening" (or, in practice, further muddying) the show's already confusing mythology. I've seen

I once toyed with the thought of naming a hardcore band "Ass Remnant."

    Done.

"(A) Neurosis fan documentary would be pretty sweet. "

    Try this:

Call him back when you need some more 'gnac, horse-yak
Doing 80 down the Van Wyck on horseback
Ya' man sick but he wreck tracks, puto
    Get back too bro', exactamundo

The lyric "you had too much to think" sounds like some eighth rate ripoff of "I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night" by the Electric Prunes, except completely irredeemable in its punnery. Thumbs down.

The Electric Eels? Those noisemakers from Cleveland are still kicking around?

Pig In Zen: I say "Nay" to the naysayers; top notch firstie.

Heche: that's exactly why that song is so monumentally awesome.

    Um, Leonard…
I think you forgot Pantera/Tool/Mastodon/My Favorite Band That You Didn't Mention.

Never listened to Ufomammut, but that will soon be rectified.

As a matter of fact, I feel asleep to Earth 2 just last night. I'm on an Earth Kick right now, it would seem.

I concur. Oh, God, do I concur.

I'm listening to "Sunn Amps and Smashed Guitars" right this second.

"War Pigs" on record: leaves me dry. "War Pigs" live c. 1970-71: freaking slaughters me. That said, I think "Supernaut" takes it for me. It's just a fantastic song.

    ::Plays with tea set::

Bloodlands: God, that is fascinating. Thanks for posting it.

    A self-referential failed-secondsie. I just don't know how to feel.
