OK. Someone defend 13 Ghosts to me. Other than a naked goth girl ghost in a bathtub not much about that I remember. The more that comes back to me (oh yeah, there was one with a hammer, and maybe one like bees or energy) about it doesn't make it any less meh. And yet people remember it fondly. Why so?

The House on Haunted Hill remake had its moments. I remembered it fondly enough to pick up a used DVD of it a few years ago. But I don't remember liking much about Thirteen Ghosts. Just a pile of overly designed ghosts with some backstory thrown in that felt more like a video game. And the only way I can imagine him

The only remnants I still have of my brief dalliance with Industrial/Goth are Christian Death's Figurative Theater (though not this version) and ChemLab's Chemical Halo (Bruised Regeneration Remix), both both picked up off the SomaFM WinAmp station.

I thought last Barker thread we established that The Scarlet Gospels was its own thing and slated for release by next year.

What do you think The Scourge was?

"Where's mommy?"
"She is in her own hell, and quite unreachable from here."

I'd heard a lot about [REC] but when I finally saw it was not as impressed as I'd hoped to be. Though I did still really like the end with the quiet tension of the night vision shots.

Or when they skip the middle man and your reflection just grabs you. There's a scene in Poltergeist 3 I think when a woman is looking in the mirror and thinks she sees something and turns her back on it so you see, but she doesn't, that her reflection turns back around then reaches out and grabs her. Good stuff there.

At this point this will be too far down the list for it to do much good but if you plan on watching The Orphanage because its scary, also know that it may be one of the most heart wrenchingly sad movies I've ever seen. I went in looking for some good scares and was just devastated. Seems irresponsible for Tasha to

Now that its streaming finally saw it and its every bit as good as everyone says it is. Its long but doesn't feel it. The kind of movie someone might walk in on you in the middle of it and say "are you still watching this?" but to you it doesn't feel like still.

Unbreakable Too? There's a squeakquel?

Not sure what the purpose of downvotes is on this site ("I disagree" or "This user should be banned"?). So I will just tell you that your opinion is wrong to your face.

On a scale of 0 to antelope.

Could be worse. Could include Paranormal Activity 4. I watched that last night and it was the most boring piece of crap I've seen in a long time. And hour and a half of home movies with a jump scare or two and then no big finish. Its like one of those "scary" youtube videos where you watch closely and something yells

This one and Bear Patrol are the most trotted out when it comes to mocking democracy.

Politics is a strange game, Professor Falken.
