Oh, that does sound good. Holding someone responsible for the actions of the Japanese, however, is just not fair. I mean, it's, like, Japan.

Yeah, well just remember to edit the mess you make afterwords.
I dunno, DBag, that's a pretty depressing and defeatist attitude. Things certainly change as you get older, but the various forms of art/culture/whatever would seem to be precisely those things that you CAN still get seriously excited about, perhaps because they are not really directly affected by the changes you talk…
Yeah, that is a great album — sort of reigns in Carey's more extreme musical flights of fancy into something really enjoyable, and quite accessible (for them).
Things never are around here. Seems to be kind of a theme.
Red Rover on ATVs.
Hmm, maybe my hours of practice at semaphore will now come in handy.

Anno Vaginae — but that's brilliant Asinus.
Pshah, you READ that entry on vaginas? I have it memorized.
I don't know anything about the passion plays themselves, but the word passion originates from the Latin verb patior, meaning to experience or suffer, so this sounds right.
Pogo is my favourite, not surprisingly. Walt Kelly had what I think so many great humourist had, a real fascination and love of people without ignoring their numerous faults. And I agree with Bucky that his playful use of language is really a delight (see an enlarged picture of my avatar for an example).
They're digitizing Darfur?
Sammy would definitely side with Plato on that one, what with his belief in aliens. If you can't figure out this world, posit another one.
Is Sonny burning?
Wow, some thread.
Thanks, really enjoyed that, second link in particular.
Left handed people are just evil, everyone know that. Hell, the word sinister comes from the Latin for 'left.'
Enkidum, that was Glebe, right? That was my old high school as well. I seem to remember something about the school's version of the national anthem being by her, but it didn't really register much at the time.
