Glad I searched your name because I was thinking 7:30 tomorrow, not 7. I'm going to take MARTA and so it will be hard to predict how good my timing will be but I'll try to get there early. I think your right that it will be a small group.

Fueller? Fueller?
And eminently re-watchable.
You'd rather be in Aiken than Asheville? Um. ok.
I also am finding one of the bigger challenges of exercising is how to arrange my eating schedule around running so that I don't eat to soon beforehand and cramp up, but also am not lacking energy because I didn't eat enough. It's really strange - I totally did not see this obstacle coming!
The most amazing long distance story I know is my best friend from college, did a one-year volunteer internship in DC where she met a guy. This guy then did 4 years of missionary work in Burkina Faso while she was in med school in Indiana. They spoke about once/month by phone and saw each other about twice per year…
Is there anything you can do in more of a drop-in basis, like yoga or pilates or something else? The only thing I hate about those is they tend to be pretty expensive.
When I went there almost 20 years ago I also was in a position of suddenly hiking further than I had ever walked in a day. It's so beautiful though that you will find the energy! Plus, if you hike into the canyon, you have no choice but to hike back out ;)
That's amazing - I'm very happy for you!
I turned 23 that year. I mean - I voted for Dukakis!
It was always sort of a "staged" show - the characters were a little broad and cartoonish, but it had some good laughs in it. Candace Bergen won like 6 Emmys in a row for it IIRC. I was in my early 20s then and rather liked it. I am sure it does not hold up well at all, though.
ESC68 has it right, and another kind of neat thing about this storyline is when she tells people, everyone responds pretty negatively until she tells Eldin the Painter, who is ecstatic because bringing a baby into the world is a wonderful wonderful thing.
Yesterday my plan was to run 3 laps, walk 1, run 5, walk 1, repeat 3/1/5/1, run 10, walk 1, then go backwards. As I was running I was getting tired early and thought that I would keep alternating 3 and 5 instead of doing 10, but once I got to 5 I decided to try 10, then once I hit 10 I decided to go to 15 (1 mile). …
That's really good! And you are doing it at a maintainable pace. I'm kind of obsessed with weight-loss programs - they are inspiring but also frustrating since no one can keep a 2-4 hour per day workout schedule going.
I second and third the plank rec. When you hold the plank, it's not just the arms - literally contract every muscle you have to hold it, especially your gluts and abs. We do these a lot in Pilates and they are great.
I have been reading Wonder Boys for about 2 months and keep putting it down to read other things. I really loved the movie, and the book is good but just not "can't-put-it-down" good.
I've been to the parade before but not the actual Con. Is there a chance we can just go hang out there, or do you have to register?
I had a few bad times running in a row and then didn't go for a few days, but last night I thought about all the pregress everyone here has made so I hauled my ass to the gym and did a run/walk for 50 minutes - I did a total of 2.5 miles running (with a 1 mile run in the middle of the time) and a bit over 1 mile…
What is with this rumor? she was born in 1992, she's 21. I read that she was 40 yesterday on Twitter.
You are a baby!!!
