Congratudolances.
It's a good article, but comes a little out of left field in this context.
Her husband was dead the whole time!
I agree - I don't think that was jarring at all for Jim to make that comment. You can see how annoyed and frustrated Jim is with Michael for being such a tool in that situation. Especially since Jim is one of the few that occasionally sees the calm, somewhat compassionate Michael.
I also am old enough to remember this! The AVClub obviously needs some younger, hipper commenters :)
Oh, interesting!~ Also, I never thought of it as jarring- even if you have a bonding moment with someone, when they are acting so incredibly insensitive, so clueless about how their injured foot does not at all compare to being in a wheelchair, then yes, their face should be clamped in a George Foreman grill.
You'd think someone would have seen this episode then come up with a programmable bacon cooker, like a coffee maker. Of course., leaving bacon sit out all night - whether on a floor, nightstand, or counter - is really not a great idea.
Michael, I'm going to stop you right there. And leave.
This is the only season of The Office that I watched on DVD and those extras were just a treasure trove of greatness. How the hell did they choose what to cut?
When he says "but I'll be back!", her voice has a little crack in it when she replies "I know, but it won't be the same" that is so sweet.
It's worth reading twice!
Absolutely hilarious - Michael just seems incredulous that what he is saying doesn't make perfect sense to anyone.
The doctor does a slow chuckle to it which is also great .
The scene in the van with Jim trying to drive and alternately squirt water on Michael and Dwight to get them to behave is just gold.
Crazy answer, but after I had a life-threatening accident I watched Stuck on You and damn if that didn't cheer me the hell up.
I remember seeing a few episodes last season and liked the group competition aspect of it. This season just seemed so empty of content. Damaris definitely had the most growth of any contestant, and your point below about the difference in her and Andres' approach to "teaching men how to cook" is fair.
Both Stacy and Nikki were the ones who were consistently calm and articulate on camera AND were consistent with their cooking in the competitions AND had a clear POV. Whatever complaints there were against those two, seeing Rodney and Russell in the finals was shocking with their generally poor camera and cooking…
He was the runner-up with a mantra of "pie style is sweeping the nation!"
He just started that rumor because he can't stand the thought of his parents having sex.
