Does Toy Story 2 not count?
Does Toy Story 2 not count?
I also always heard this as an ironic statement song, not actually endorsing the lyrics.
I stopped watching after ep4, but the Sims reveiws are just so good, I can't stop reading them. Can't decide if the show is more entertaining than the review.
I am not really keen on the potential for a "Nolan takes the fall for Padma's death" storyline. I realize that is seems wonderfully soapy, but it just bugs me. Also, the guy playing the detective seems like he is on a different show. He's scenes just seemed off to me.
Oh, man, I didn't connect those dots. You're right, that is majorly icky.
The Cards went from almost puking their guts out seeing Ware go down to continue to dominate the Blue Devils. I find that more impressive than anything else.
My very conservative uncle loves this show and told me some joke from it about how in Obama's America tent sales are through the roof. Which…. is a weird joke. There aren't tent cities springing up around the U.S.
I never viewed Ben as a fiscal conservative in the sense we tend to think of it now (i.e. smaller government for everyone!); I always viewed him fiscally practical. If Pawnee had the money for all the social programs, he would be fine with it, but they didn't so here is how they had to tighten things up.
I read that as "whacking" hour, which is probably also correct.
Holy shit, your stepmom wouldn't let you in the house? Jesus Christ. My mom didn't break the news to us because she was so distraught - our pastor told us, but at least we were in the house and together. They didn't pull us out of school early, just waited for us to come home on the bus, which I think is ok. We…
@avclub-920530cb8744c679e3a2ece84f1d5ce4:disqus I'm around the same age as you and I definitely remember divorced and single-parent families being far from the norm. My dad died when I was young and I can't think of one other friend through high school (graduated in '87) that didn' t live with both parents.
I was going to commend TWD for having their CDC staffer talk with a non-Southern accent, but you are right that in the early eps the actors have pretty awful accents.
Oh, god that scene in LA Confidential was so great and really was about the most surprised I've ever been by a twist in a movie. At least a twist that made sense and wasn't just a twist for the sake of having a twist.
He was in The Secret in Their Eyes, right? *checks IMDB* Yep, that's him! I just recommended that movie to someone here yesterday. I agree that he was terrific in that film.
@avclub-6a2ec3076bb494e5c64eb1a422d9fe3d:disqus If they had actually left the baby with the house, it would have been a draw, cost-wise. The house with the asbestos literally had asbestos shingling.
Do you do subtitles? The Secret In Their Eyes is a great Argentinian thriller.
Bound is a freaking fantastic movie.
And killers are surprisingly common in the South!
I'm barely putting up with the sexy veronica troll who is always talking about oral sex.
On my first house hunt I had pet names for each house - the house with asbestos, the house with the creek, the house with the baby - to help distinguish them. I improved my nickname strategy for my second search - the house with no sidewalks, the house with the hole in the wall, the house with no dining room, the…
