Simply put, what makes BBT interesting is the fact that the four guys are extrapolated from your average nerd. The complete lack of social graces (Sheldon,) the idea that you're better adjusted than your friends (Leonard,) the freeze frame effect around women (Raj,) and the want of the flesh that you'll never get

But Relevant almost never makes a good roast. You want the washed-up fuck up with all kinds of skeletons in the closet who really doesn't care what anyone says because they've heard it all before. Plus, if you do it with comedians, they have a good chance of pulling out jokes about foibles that none of us ever noticed

Because Comedy Central didn't continue their licensing agreement with them after Hugh Hefner. If you don't have to pay for licensing rights, you don't have to worry about not being able to rerun it because of the fees you have to pay.

That's not true. It'd be perfect. That's one of the reasons the lack of relevance is perfect to do a roast, there's a lot to make fun of.
