The Monarch is pretty shredded.

@avclub-c2023af23a02a04d9f58966bafd8969a:disqus We already had that flashback in the Dr Quim episode.

It's often been noted that, although their builds are quite different, facially Malcolm and Rusty look very similar.

So THAT's where the spiders were, when the fly tried to break our bones.

@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus No need to apologise - you're not the guy who wrote a screenplay with multiple Dans!

@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus I don't really see how we're disagreeing?

It could have been done a lot worse but it was similar to Ben's drugged out bit in Parks and Rec after he needed a kidney stone removed.  "Character is drugged, says crazy crap" gets old fast.  Having said that it was overall a very strong episode, so, you know, whatever.

I liked it.  It was the right level of non-glamorous while still letting them do a 'the Veep suffers an inconvenient physical injury' thing.

Let me rephrase that.  Naive isn't the right word, but Dan doesn't realise that guys like Dan are basically a dime a dozen in DC, because he lacks the ability to empathise with the various other Dans he meets.  He sees them get fucked and thinks "Nah, that would never happen to me, I'm too awesome"

Chung is an interesting character.  My take it is that he is the show's take on an Obama-style politician.  Not that he's a direct equivalent of Obama - Obama was never a Governor or a veteran - but he's the sort of guy that people with a passing interest in politics would think, because of his biography, the way he

"Timothy Simons is just killing it as Jonah this season"

"He's the President.  You are Jonad"

@dah_sab:disqus Watching The Fall and Hannibal simultaneously is one of life's greatest pleasures

Best.  Review.  Ever.

You're clearly a unique personality with no regard for the conventions of society and a fiercely independent intellectual existence, much like the average Ron Paul voter.

Contrary to what Boney M would tell us, Rasputin was not the "Lover of the Russian Queen".

Don't be European, Ian.

I liked how the producer seemed 50% worried and 50% patronising.
