Ugh, NO

Well, given that Tywin/Tyrion theoretically hold office at the King's pleasure, you could say good on Joffrey for choosing (TM) such a brilliant Hand and letting him do his job!

Kind of like how everybody in every historical period speaks English, you mean.  (If it's a really old historical period, they speak English accented English!)

@avclub-86a9ac7667ec45a86614223897b4f765:disqus Whoah!  You have Irish history?  And you're an American?  And you happen to be descended, according to your own research, from a bunch of badarse rebels, not a bunch of anonymous devoutly Catholic potato farmers?  And you're talking about it on the internet?  How unique!

I wondered about The Hound's out-of-nowhere antipathy to Bronn.  I mean, The Hound doesn't seem to get on with anybody, but attacking the Captain of the Goldcloaks is a huge deal.  It seems like it must have been more than just a whim.

Also, surely if you're shooting at ships, which are flammable, flaming arrows make sense?

Agreed.  It seems unlikely this has never been tried before.

The Starks?  Really?  Loras seems like exactly the kind of pampered southern dandy that big burly bears-arse-wearing hard men like Robb and his various hangers on would despise on principle.

Historically if you were making a quick spoiling attack on a besieging force, you would have used horses because they could withdraw more quickly before the enemy could concentrate his forces (which in a typical siege would be quite widely dispersed)
