Elementary was originally intended as an American remake of "that British drama on PBS" but they couldn't get permission, and when they realised that Sherlock Holmes was public domain anyway, they were like, fuck it.

I find Blackadder relied too much on smug, lazy cliches about history to be interesting.

Honestly, I am fine with them leaving the "How did the fire break out" question unanswered.  It's a shitty old house with two junkies in it.  That's really all that needs to be said.

Are you sure that's Stephen Fry's twitter?  I didn't see him mention anything about how straight women are all frigid, or promising to quit twitter forever because people were mean to him.
