Because he gives C grades to all the summer blockbusters! They can't all be middling Dowd!!

Really, Actually, Not.

Yeah, Ms. Robinson gave it 2 of 5 stars which I would equate to a "D" yet there is not one comment there bashing her.

You are exactly right. When I read that in Kick-Ass 2 I immediately thought of Preacher from 10 years (maybe more) prior

That tumblr made the internet rounds yesterday. I saw it in a lot of places but I first saw it here at the AV Club's "Great Job Internet" feature

Ugh,
I felt that way about the last one. I thought that this one had righted the ship.

Yeah, I read them when I was in deep with D&D and fantasy which could explain why I loved them. My fear is that they will just end up being generic fantasy.

I reallly don't know if they used a lot of licensed music or not. I suppose it could be possible.

I usually have the opposite effect, where it makes me want to listen to the music all over again. However, it's not cool to realize that the musicians you respect can be total tools.

We got a DVD from the library called "Blossom: Very Special Episodes" which the cover claims are the special episodes from the first two seasons. I don't know if full seasons are available anywhere.

Someone make shirts of these please.

The wife and I watched a few episodes of "Blossom" last night. Pretty standard early 90's family sitcom with a little more edge than a TGIF lineup. (What with period talk, sex talk and drug talk) It's interesting to see the actors who pop up in minor roles that eventually became famous. The few episodes we watched had

I got a Ford Focus Hatchback back when they first came out. That first year I was asked about it many times. I liked the car but a lot of things went wrong with it, most annoying (besides the eventual breakdown of the engine) was whent he hatch latch broke and I had to keep the hatch closed with a bike rack.

Anamanaguchi - SPF 420

OMD - Our System
New Order - Let's Go (Nothing for Me)

Seriously, T2 is about the most impecabbly awesome action movie there is. Just nonstop thrills and awesomeness.

Third week in a row (though I haven't looked back further) that "Calm Down" has been used. Now I know Ms. Gilette is just fucking with us, or just trying to figure out who is actually reading the TI.

I'm a third of the way through George RR Martin's "A Dance With Dragons." I don't know why Martin felt the need to introduce so many more factions/families/etc vying for Westeros. Had he not done this I imagine the story could've been wrapped up by now. Honestly, how many goddam princes are in this thing?

It's a great book that makes you realize how incompetent and/or indifferent Marr and Moz were to other band members, each other, management. If only someone who knew what they were doing would've managed them we kight have had a nother few years of Smiths Greatness. Instead we are left with a few amazing years, a few

He should have wrote a song called. "Seriously Help, My Wife Courtney Love is Trying to Have Me Killed." Then we could have been sufficiently warned.

Interesting looking teen drama/action movie with a compltely incongruous soundtrack.
