ARileyL, I'm not sure if this counts as a true Munch appearance. All his other appearances (X-Files, The Wire, etc.) were as an actual person within the show, rather than a fictional character.

Roger's Office
I really like the idea of using a different surprise guest voice each week for Ebert's segment. It'll be like the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley. I can't wait for Ditka's turn.

Wow …
… so there is actually someone out there who thinks Fred Armisen does a good Obama impression. It's like rediscovering a thought-to-be-extinct species.

TV Version
It looks like they just used a bunch of alternate takes for the TV version, rather than dubbing or bleeping. Charlie "Did you sex my mom," instead of "Did you fuck my mom." Dennis said, "I hope you die," instead of "Go fuck yourself up your fat fucking ass."

He also made a Munch cameo in a failed Tom Fontana pilot called "MONY," although I'm not sure it counts if the appearance was never seen by anybody.

They actually sort of did explain that stuff regarding Kenny
When he was explaining his power to Hindsight last week, he said something along the lines of "Sometimes I see heaven or hell, but eventually, I always wake up in that bed." That means his time dead varies, and he doesn't always just wake up the next day.

Not a new writer
Darabont wrote this script as well. So there's nobody to but himself to blame for Merle.

My Take
I had never seen a single episode of this show, due largely to its critical reputation, until a year or so ago. My local Fox station started airing it after The Simpsons, and I didn't feel like finding something else to watch for a half hour, and I found it surprisingly watchable. It didn't reinvent

Uh no
This episode did not change the status-quo in any way. Don doing nearly the exact same thing Roger did two years ago isn't revelatory. Don hasn't been heading down all season. He hit rock bottom at about the midpoint and has been steadily climbing out of it ever since. If anything, this represents a

Earth-1/Earth- 2
From what I've read, the plan for the season is to have every other episode taking place entirely in one of the universes.

Here's how I interpreted it. Annie didn't like the bouncer, but Sonny wanted to keep him around. Sonny then became jealous that the bouncer and not he protected Annie during the shooting, at which point he decided to kick him out.

Regarding Davis …
I kind of disagree about him being an asshole to the tourists in the hotel scene. I viewed that as him legitimately attempting to be altruistic. He sent them to a bar populated by great musicians, Antoine & Kermit among them, where they ended up having a great time. Likewise he later sent to them

Josh, I find your complaint odd
This most recent batch of episodes was more focused on supporting characters than any batch in recent memory. Out of the seven episodes, we had a two parter focused on Craig, an episode focused on McCain & Obama where the main kids were merely a subplot, an episode focused on Wendy,

Minor Correction
George Pelecanos wrote all of The Wire's penultimate episodes, not three out of five.
