Bingo! I couldn't figure out why this show's format seemed so similar to me until you said that. It's like Fringe w/out the science fiction aspect. Powerful, secretive plots pop up every episode and semi-covert government team gets called in to prevent mass destruction. It's like the same show with a makeover!

Not all gumbo has okra in it. Try some seafood or chicken gumbo when you get a chance. Great stuff! There's even a type called "gumbo z'herbes" which is like pureed greens (think matar paneer w/out the cheese).
