The other thing is that if Tyrion kills her I'm just assuming that at that point the reader isn't sympathizing with her much. If Tyrion killed a helpless whore I don't know that readers would still love him the way they do.

I know for sure she testifies against him, and I *think* that maybe she sleeps with Tywin? (Which seems just extraordinarily out of character for him, so I'm not sure I read that right.) Don't correct me if I'm wrong, I'll find out soon enough and I already know too much of what is going to happen.

The sarcastic affectation of her exchanges with both Joffrey and Tyrion surprised me. In the books I knew she obviously didn't mean what she said, but I didn't think she had the guts to be so drippingly sarcastic to Joffrey. With GRRM writing the script I guess that means that's how she meant it in the book too. But

@avclub-fec1b8d3fbc08f27a84e5a334d45bb5a:disqus I'm kind of learning that in this series, just as when a character is "presumed dead" without a body, we can wager he or she is probably alive, when the perpetrator of a scheme is not confirmed with proof we can probably wager it's not who everyone thinks it is. It still

I mean, it's not implausible, but it feels like it was just thrown in as a twist.

My boyfriend just clarified that he was talking about someone else. You're right, no lions on Mandon Moore's armor (I was confused as to why there would be). However, I just told him it was a member of the Kingsguard who tried to kill Tyrion, and he did not get that. I

I see some of myself in Hannah for sure. And you know what, yes, her character is on the self-absorbed side, and so have I been occasionally. I think even people who criticize these characters are, they just won't admit it.

Yeah, I agree…although, I don't think the show explained the background of it, did they? I have a short memory and also miss a lot, so maybe they did. I think it only works if you know that it basically means Lannisters are ruthless.

I wonder if that was just a logistical consideration. I don't know anything about TV makeup, but I don't think you could make someone look like they're missing a nose with just makeup. It'd have to be CGI, and a CGI'd missing nose for, what, 5 seasons of TV might have been too expensive. Just speculating.

My boyfriend hasn't read the books. He said something like, "I thought there were lions on the guy's armor who tried to kill Tyrion, but I guess I must be wrong." The possibility didn't enter his mind that it would have been a "friendly," and he doesn't miss much on this series. I told him that yes, there were lions,
