I don't remember River being in shoes ever let alone heels. And she was always wearing loose clothing. Buffy wore heels but then that fit her blonde, perky, popular girl character.

This show really, really grew on me and ended up being the one that I obsessed the most over this year. Everything that everyone else has commented on: the diversity, the style, the emotional resonance has been great. I hope so much it comes back.

I thought she was amazing in Doctor Who as well and she certainly had a broader range of characterization. Here she is almost one note. A lot of fun to watch but still one note.
