Amen.

Agreed but that was my impression from the movie. How did they find him then?

I *thought* I saw blood and a bullet hole.

"Yay for writers not doing the 'kill off the black guy' cliche for that hypnotized cop."

I also really felt for Dottie again. Maybe we can see her become more of a real human being and less of a robot. Although keep her an antagonist! She is great at that.

Hmm okay. I thought they just kept searching the Arctic bed for 50 odd years till they finally found Cap. Or was that the army?

I've liked everything that Atwell has done on this show and that particular scene was beautiful (she had a softer look too which made her look gorgeous). I felt so sad for her. :(

LOL, this is true but the big fight had to happen somehow. I kept wanting Peggy to shoot Dottie from behind but I guess that was never going to be on the cards.

That might be interesting. Not a straight up sequel picking up where this left off but some structural changes and the beginnings of SHIELD would be great.

I really liked that Peggy and Angie's friendship is cemented at the end of the episode and I'm glad the show spent so much time developing that. It felt mystifying at times given the limited run but I'm glad they recognized the value of a female friend and added that voice.

I too feel like this episode was a bit too tie up loose ends but I will NEVER COMPLAIN about it because the entire season has just been so wonderful and they have accumulated oodles of my goodwill. This and the whole season was an A grade as far as I am concerned.

The Peggy Carter - Black Widow showdown was aweomely brilliant amazeballs. (Too much?)

It wasn't the first comment. Dammit @samatict:disqus *

Oh I've seen bits of that movie on TV. Its not bad. The bits I saw were good enough for me to want to track down but I forgot all about it.

No way!

Why not? They operate in the same basic wheelhouse. What makes movies based on fantasy books fantasy and movies based on comic books not fantasy even though they sort of feel the same?

The revivification of Kirk by Khan's blood*…

I have had many fights over the relevance of the fantasy genre (mostly with family members) but I've never once punched anyone over it. Was I not committing enough?

I agree. That's also why Harry Potter became such a juggernaut. Many non-fantasy readers got into it because the setting (boarding school) was something they could relate to. The magic was an easy suspension of disbelief at that point.

Fantasy is evolving. I'm super tired of the magic medieval europe setting too and there are people doing very innovative things in the genre.
