Even though it's nine days after people stopped commenting in this thread, I can't resist the urge to correct myself: IMDb claims that this movie IS what got Carson Daly and Tara Reid together. So Fritzy-Poo and I were wrong.

I believe this was during their relationship. I remember Daly saying something to the effect of "Maybe in another world, we could have been together" shortly before he attempts to murder her.
