What kind of pilot do you think Lapidus is?
What kind of pilot do you think Lapidus is?
Having heard that theory last week I couldn't wait for people to start getting in boats.
My hatred for Kate is so strong I found I could really relate to the end of the Hurt Locker.
Some people just have the guilt of having think they killed someone. Jack driving his father to death by drink and Hurley having survivor's guilt regarding the people killed by the collapsing deck. The Others have always been so careful, with the exception of Ben really, to not kill anyone and say they're the good…
And who would believe a principal would send a non-recommendation letter out of revenge? And having gone through a lot of teacher training it would be Ben's duty to report that type of lewd behavior in front of a student. And technically Ben is supposed to say he can't promise to keep a secret if it harms a student.
Aww…I thought it was a Richard episode…
Its True, This Man has no Dick
After last week's depressing entry featuring one of my favorite character's fall from grace and the Man in Black's non-stop army building I instantly took to this episode featuring the corrupting rush of…goodness?
I recognized the music and think they played it during the penultimate Season 2 episode for when the stakes were highest spy-wise. Hearing it again in the Buy More really helped add to the tension since it was one of the themes they don't go to a lot. Zachary Levi really did do a great job directing on such a big…
Just got this in my Netflix queue. I get to hear Scottish people curse? Sounds like appointment viewing to me!
Not a dream! Not a hoax!
I've been waiting for this storyline for full on a year. I can't believe how taken I was by the corporate takeover plot. The appearance of the Ring phone shocked me out of my low key enjoyment and made me instantly realize this episode was for keeps. It was just like last year's Christmas…
I also thought it was adorable the way Annie said "I liked it." about Abed character.
Widescreen, HD-DVD, Collector's, and…UMD? That's right, like Mini-Disc before it I have even have Serenity on a forgotten media format.
Maybe this 'God' can only gain power by having followers. Now that he has them he's amassing enough influence to be able to leave the Island.
Maybe that's the issue, no inner-reflection. Sayid never realized anything was wrong with the sideways universe so continued to be who he was on the Island.
Flash Sideways
What is interesting is seeing how the Flash Sideways, much like the Flashbacks always did, inform the character's actions on the island. Sayid can't avoid murdering an unarmed man, so on the Island it's all but inevitable that he turns to murder for the answer. Both solutions let him see Nadia. Kate…
All the cheering we did was when it looked like decisions would kill Kate. Would Sayid stab her? Will Claire jump out of that pit and kill Kate after hearing the news Kate stole Aaron? Would a Smoke Monster grab her? We got pretty quiet though after hearing Claire's creepy song over Sayid looking over what he had…
I appreciate everyone knowing what I meant instead of what I typed. Also since Jack has a son in the sideways universe it does feel like all bets are off. Having Dogen appear too seems like another reinforcement of that idea. What does it all mean having this sideways universe around? It certainly makes us think about…
Small Observations
While a lot of cool things happened in this episode and we were thrilled by the new locales this felt like a classic putting the pieces into place episode. Since there's all kind of chess metaphors and since Claire may be going to the Temple to kill Kate, I'm good with all of that.
I think it's because this season's flashbacks are matching the order of Season 1's flashbacks, which makes sense since the producers said this season would feel like Season 1. But within the amount of episodes we have left covers both a Charlie and a Boone episode…though we could completly focus on their flash…
Not to get too literal, since that would be too easy, but did Locke's corpse ever get intersected by the shadow of the statue? Maybe Locke really will be 'He Who Saves Us All.'
