The first time Eko met Smokey you can clearly see it scanning him. There are images in the smoke that don't come into play until the next flashback. I've been thinking it's been reading them ever since. See the Kate/Juliet handcuffed together episode for another example. Eko was a useful pawn, receiving visions,

Listen up jive turkeys!
Black Dynamite was one of my best movie going experiences from 09. We saw the trailer early, kept waiting for it, finally had it show up for two weekends at an independent theater and went out of our way to see it. We laughed so hard we missed tons of jokes. The way the film mocks that entire

Ooh, I like that. Faith vs. Reason seems to fit much better, and this is coming from someone who said Free Will vs. Destiny in the State of the Union address post for Lost. Jack is much happier with his faith, but faith killed John Locke.

Also if these candidates are on Jacob's list and he was sending Others out to snatch people, why not get the main people on your equation? I've always thought they had to prove themselves and find their destiny or come to terms with who they are. That's how they're tested. Though a lot of people who found peace with

If the order of Season 1 really is going to match this season we'll find out about the Kwon's in two weeks. Jack is next week. Charlie after Sun and Jin… Then Sawyer, Sayid, Claire, Jack again, Kate again…, then Boone (maybe replaced by Richard), the Dawsons (Waaaaaaalllllllttttttt!!!), another Charlie and a Sawyer

I was really worried that un-Locke/Smokey was going to cross out Ford's name and kill him. Though having just saved his life it doesn't make a lot of sense in hindsight, especially since we've been predicting that Smokey is recruiting to build an army, and so is the other side.

So what happens because the flash sideway universe doesn't have an Island? And my Lost buddies were asking this, did the Others give Ben back to the D.I.? Could Roger have gotten Ben onto the sub? I'm just not remembering anything definitive right now.

I was down with the original Jacob theory, until little Jacob said you couldn't kill him. Why would he talk about himself in the third person? My guess is a little older Aaron who could still figure into everything greatly.

I discussed this a bit last week and talked about how it seemed Jacob was keeping Smokey in check. We've been assuming they're keeping each other in check as equals, two kings on the board. But what if they're not? What if the hierarchy is different? Maybe Richard and Smokey are the equals and Jacob was in league with

I'm just excited Austen didn't make any of 'The Numbers' numbers. Anyone think she's going to die? Lost, you always deliver!

I'm starting to think the Smoke Monster is just wrong about protecting the island from nothing. Non-Locke is acting like real Locke when he decided not to push the button. With last week's clues and with more of what Locke is saying I'm starting to wonder if there's some other kind of force out there that Jacob was

We can rebuild him…
While I was very excited about many things in this episode, what really got to me was the idea that in the original timeline we had everything in John Locke's entire life beat him down and lead him to the point where he is murdered by Ben and has his form stolen by the Smoke Monster.

Steal My Sunshine was 99 and totally should have been there since I remember it being on the soundtrack for Go. And was that crappy song Butterfly? I'm pretty sure that was 2000 because it got it's proper mocking in the film Orange County. And we can see how most of my music memories are tied into movies. Probably

"Man, I hate islands."

So Claire isn't corrupted like Dogen is saying? And Jack is actually with the wrong side right now? Are the Others just pawns and have to follow whoever is winning the war of philosophies between Jacob and Smokey at the time? It seemed like the Others were defending themselves from the Smoke Monster.

I was also really taken with the talk of infection again. Obviously Rousseau's team was infected. But when they confronted her, what was their plan? I thought they were a manifestation of Smokey during my last rewatch, but Rousseau put them down with bullets. So they were infected. How do they get infected? Is it from

I asked my group if Ben had done anything special when he said goodbye to his daughter. Though maybe Alex's appearance in 'Dead is Dead' proved that he didn't.

I'm still fascinated by the mirror universe to see how, and why, things are changed. Having Desmond there was my biggest surprise, and most compelling mystery. If the rules don't apply to him and he's the key like Farrady suggested I think he could be jumping back and forth between the sideways timelines and bring

'There are two sides. One black, one white.' Ever since I saw that episode on DVD I figured we'd be picking sides. I thought it might be a battle between Jack and Locke's leadership. Then I thought it might be a war between the survivors and the Others. Then the Others and the Dharma initiative. I've been looking for

I really enjoyed this episode as well. From the unique exciting, yet funny, action scene to the real stakes for Chuck this episode delivers everything I hope for in an episode. I for one thought Hannah could be in real danger since she's just a guest star. I thought Chuck would have to choose between Hannah and Sarah,
