I was going to insult you, but you're not worth the typing.

Sarah Jessica Parker cameo in Lone Ranger unexpected.

I think this is officially the moment when the AV Club became a little too important.

So that's why Conley's all greased up and wearing a loincloth.

Go to Twitter I have a dedicated fandom of people from here following my gibberish.

Yeah that's pretty good. Not perfect by any means, but an admirable effort.

Awww looks like some cheerleader promised @avclub-c69c2659762674838fe0053cb735c98f:disqus a date in exchange for doing her homework for her and never delivered.

At least that's the only kind of 'self-love' picture you find on Facebook. Mine is much darker…

The doofus shortcut.

Oh absolutely.
It's strange how the shows start as a 'heckle the loser who thinks they have talent' then suddenly tries to class it up by treating it as a talent show for potential superstars.

I haven't watched it recently, but that does make sense a theory to me.

Just the tip.

There's a theory that only the first seasons of reality shows will you get any sense of naturalism and not acting a role.
If you look back at season 1 of Real World or Survivor it's noticeable how everyone acts less consciously of being on camera.
After it's like the contestants watched the show, saw who got the most

Oh for sure, though I separate out the talent show stuff from 'reality TV'.

Yeah I think that already 'famous' stars of a reality show needs to be a separate category, because their 'talent' is inheriting money and/or being successful but washed up.

Who Wants To Be a Human Guinea Pig?

For Our Consideration… Is the AV Club just Grantland now?

It kind of becomes a chicken or egg thing.
Is it responsible for dumbing down, or is it just giving people a pure form of what they really want anyway, just not bothering with any pretense it's artistic?
I lean towards the latter.
Yeah it's kind of the old 'if you put porn on TV against Shakespeare of course people will

Yeah, I think most people assume it's selectively edited just to create drama, but whether all the conflict is scripted is another matter entirely.

I think 1,124. I'm actually impressed in a 'we should still chemically castrate him' way.
