The scene with Dana and her brother in her office destroys me. I suspect it's because I'm an oldest brother, and I can completely understand what she's thinking.

Or Denis Compton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wik…. One of the great cricketers and a league and FA cup winning footballer. His football career was cut rate short by injury, and his whole career delayed by WWII.
It reminds me of Casey's reaction when Natalie throws a final glass of water at Dan in an attempt to rid him of his writers block last season. Either Peter Krause has a remarkable knack for making those reactions seem natural, or it's an impressive piece of directing to get them out of him.
Much. Though I should warn you that the start of S6 is probably the low point. When the new characters get introduced (a few episodes into S6) it really picks up.
Yes, I'll miss those too. Obviously there's a massive drop in quality after S4, but the way that the show hits the depths and then gradually finds itself again (becoming a very good, but very different show by S7) is fascinating. It'd be a shame if they were never covered
I almost agree. There were some big mis-steps in the second to last episode or so. The big twist where a major character turns out to be villainous never sat right with me. Also the fact they were making the episode before the finale with whatever money they found down the back of the sofa really showed - the massive…
Seriously, OK Computer is from 1997.
I doubt it, given that there's a discussion in Objects in Space which makes no sense without the epilogue.

ER's Love's Labor Lost is dominated by one mesmerizing, terrifying birth scene.

I assumed it was because the 16yr old who killed the teacher was Pelant, and the man they had in custody was (according to the magic computers) someone else from Egypt.

Season 7 Will's quite good fun again though.

The end of Eli's Coming is one of the most touching things I've ever seen on TV. Dan having to keep going like nothing's wrong, while Casey crouches just offscreen like he knows he has to stay near Dan or he's going to break. All with Eli's Coming (the song) getting louder and louder. Beautiful.

She was a replacement for the original actress (Rebecca Gayheart) in that role as well (Joss Whedon mentions it in his commentary for the pilot). In that case I think it was after they'd filmed one scene with her, rather than an entire pilot.
The sudden exit of Kristen Bell may not have been part of the original plan for the season. Jim Beaver (who played Ellsworth) discusses it in his comment on this Sepinwall article (possible/probable spoilers for S2&3): http://www.hitfix.com/blogs…
Fry, Laurie and Thompson were all in the Footlights (at the same time). The 4th member of "Footlights College" - Ben Elton, never was. He was one of the writers of The Young Ones (and Blackadder), and nowadays writes shitty musicals.
