At least part of the problem for me was that while he was attacking what TV was in 2006, we were really still in the midst of a golden age for TV. The Wire, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under and Deadwood were all on HBO. On network TV The West Wing had just ended, House was still good, as was Lost, and there was The Office

There have been other cameos?

It was originally two feature length episodes, I believe.

British schools tend not to spend a lot of time teaching us about the decline of the British empire (for some reason)

The US backed the UK with political support in the UN and some (discretely provided) equipment in the Falklands War. That's in contrast to Suez where there was no support at all (and indeed pressure to stop).

Or Martin McGuinness.

But she is the size of Emily Procter who, I think it's fair to say, probably doesn't have a life that revolves around food.

Didn't it have some script doctoring by Tarantino too? Or was that just Crimson Tide? The prom queen line always sounded like it could have come from him (to me, anyway). Certainly doesn't sound like a Sorkin line.

STILL SPOILERS ALL SPOILERS

I agree with kelley. It was because they were scared of her magic and wanted to stop her. I don't see why they'd think rape would help with that, but I suppose logic goes out of the window at that point.

Agreed. Hell, I even read fanfic about the two of them. That was really crossing a line for me.

SPOILERS STILL

I hated the Cordelia part of the ending when I first saw it - it just seemed so very silly and glowy - the apotheosis of Saint Cordelia. But then I read a review by someone-or-other which put it in a different light. I can't really talk about it without

I've said before and I'll say again: The main characteristic that makes Wes a badass - the tendancy to try to do whatever he thinks is right, whatever anyone else thinks - was there from the second he got to Sunnydale (e.g. trying to abduct Faith, wanting to destroy the box of Gavroc and worry about Willow
