Actually, Gandhi just ripped off all of Leo Tolstoy's ideas.

I'm not a fan
of the term "synthy bass-farts".

I had read that "Mephisto in Onyx" was in development, staring Samuel L. Jackson.

I like that one album
"Shape of punk to come" defined the end of the 90's for me. It is still an amazing album, it could be released today and still be ahead of it's time. Unfortunatly it was not the shape of punk to come, things have gotten really bad since it's release. With that being said I never liked their other

Anyone who attends a concert headlined by the likes of Rod Stewart, En Vogue, and Whitney Houston, deserves to be insulted.

The fall of emo
I'm loving this article and discussion. The end of emo, for me, was that Face to Face c.d. "Ignorance is Bliss", and Blink-182 writing songs that sounded way to much like Jimmy Eat World. Thanks for mentioning Drive Like Jehu in the article. There's a funny YouTube clip of an Embrace concert in which

I really love "How it feels to be something on", "Guitars and Videogames" is one of my favorite songs for the 90's.

I've tried
to listen to this c.d., I've tried to like it, based on the few reveiws i've read of it. Not to mention the love everybody seemed to have of their SXSW show. But it's just sound, not even really music, it's repetitive and boring sound. Maybe I just don't get it.

There's a lot of words I could use to describe Avril Lavigne, "surley" is not one of them.

I think I'd prefer a Bright Eyes/ Dom DeLouise musical.

Holy Crap
It's Thursday and I'm still reading the comments to this article. Talking Heads were considered punk, the Ramones were considered punk. The music could not be more different. Although they were born out of the same scene. Some bands influenced by the Ramones went off to form hardcore bands, some influenced

Why did some 80's punk bands, turn to heavy metal in their later years? I'm think specifically of Bad Brains, Black Flag and wasted Youth, although I'm sure there are more. Also, I've noticed a trend latley in which 90's punk bands are turning towards country musuc, I'm thinking specifically of greg Graffin,
