I might just take your advice. I've been slowly, ever. so. slowly. trying to get through the first season but it's just so looong. And the Enterprise looks like it was interior-decorated by Staples. And everyone's in their fucking pajamas.

Spacemen 3 are pretty great. If you haven't already you should pick up the first two albums by Spectrum which is where the other creative half of Spacemen went. Highs, Lows and Heavenly Blows has been a salve to many a bout of anxiety.
