Woman: I would like to ask the team what changes they would make if they were Hitler?

I've read White Noise, which I liked, and Libra, which I loved. Mao II and Underworld are on my mental queue of books to read.

I don't go to a beach to read on purpose, but if I'm stuck at a beach, I do like to read.

Proust is worth is the time commitment. I'm a slow reader at the best of times, and his prose style is not exactly "streamlined" … but it's stuck with me ever since, and I find myself thinking about episodes in the novel quite often.

I read that, it was quite interesting. I've read LOTR but never the Silmarillion.

Liberal Hollywood is trying to take away the oil that spilled into the Gulf?

Oh, weird - as a kid, we had the companion book. I didn't even know that it was from a documentary, but I remember the part about Mike Oldfield. And it talked about how Alice Cooper was decadent and evil.

My comics for this week and last are still in a pile, but I finished Power Man / Iron Fist Epic Collection vol 1. Not as strong as the Power Man Epic Collection — the first part of the book has a rotating crew of writers and artists, until it settles on Kerry Gamilll (who I wasn't familiar with) and Jo Duffy and gets

would a male Sue be named "Johnny,"

Because they are actually fun?

"Fuck you, Mr Bunny!"

How is Fortress of Solitude?

Finished Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. I had mixed feelings about it. Parts of it are lovely, and it's certainly resonated in my mind since I finished it.

Sonic Youth did a great version of "Within You, Without You"

I really liked the Azzerello/Chiang run, but it also felt a bit self-contained to me. And it was almost more of an ensemble story that happened to have Diana as a main character.

Superman America Alien #7 - I've been enjoying the series but it ended on a kind of a whimper.

The whole series has been a delight, and the art is great. It really captures the essence of WW for me — her combination of strength and compassion and stubbornness, and the "fish out of water" aspect when she leaves Themyscira. Plus it's done right by Etta Candy.

Bombshells is probably not for very young kids (some creepy zombie creatures) but would be OK for older kids.

It's not always even synonymous with "journalist."

I really enjoyed the first issue, but #2 didn't seem nearly as clever.
