Lurky McLurk.

I'm going to steal that description of TV Tropes as being the Charybdis of The Internet and pass it off elsewhere as my own wit. Thanks!

D'oh! Somehow I just notice the Buffy posts. (Tbh I often skip a lot of the Angel discussions. I'll be reading them more closely for s5)

I think it largely comes down to how you define self-pity. She never seems to feel sorry for herself without good reason, is what I'm getting at.

Ok @avclub-8939ee74fdfb9e5db353166aaae42c35:disqus you've prompted a thought. My brain is very unused to having to deal with such a thing (except in relation to certain specialised aspects of UK law) so I'm holding you responsible.

I read it. And I was looking out for you as one of the people who comments mainly (exclusively?) on BtVS rather than AtS and might be jumping off now. Just to say thank you.

So did I. Twice (my first registration died, then I registered again when that Lurky McLurkerson character turned up).

Err… yes. Good point.

Thanks. I see that I could have actually just read the end of your write-up properly. How I ever passed any exams I'll never know.

It's your fault Noel!

Probably not. Because it's silly.

No brilliant eps in S4? Hush? Restless?

I've said this before, but it may be my last opportunity so I'll say it again:

I'm only not thanking you because I'm hanging around until the end of Angel. So there.

It is remarkable that a comments board about a Joss Whedon show has so much reasonable discourse and so little unpleasantness.

I don't envy the poor sap who has to review season 1.

I also have a soft spot for the B5 series finale.

ANGEL SPOILERS

I can never quite understand it when people suggest that Buffy is self-pitying. Self-righteous (at times), yes. Wrong (especially in the final season), yes. But not self-pitying; the girl goes through absolute hell and always ends up dusting herself off and doing what she needs to.

Sorry. There's a long-running tradition on the TNG comments page of gimmick posters (which I see you're not) signing up in the name of characters or actors from the show. There's even a kind of continuity going on in the ridiculous stories of on-set antics.

Agreed. I got distracted but mainly came on here tonight to comment on that final shot and how perfect it is. The writers have killed her in season finales twice before (she got better!) and this time they subvert expectations by not just having her survive, but really *live*.
