@avclub-22eda830d1051274a2581d6466c06e6c:disqus I just did a ctrl+f "club dread" right when I read the first line of the Super Troopers entry. It IS their best movie, to the point where it actually makes me angry when people say it sucks.
I love the original, but it's one that I can't watch very often because it makes me feel dirty when it's over. I would assume everyone involved with production would be honored to hear me say that, so it accomplished what it set out to do.
Yeah, I'm totally on board for this remake.
Definitely my favorite song on the album, and that's saying something because I love this whole album. It's a perfect come-down to such an abrasive album, and the best possible choice for a closer.
More like "crap", amirite??1?
@avclub-efea81f3bc821356883eda68ffab5973:disqus It was firmly established that there's a lot of restaurant work going on in this thread.
It's funny you say that, because I have no problem with putting out a storyboard that looks exactly as you described (stick-figuring), but for things I think need to be conveyed better, one of my best friends is a fantastic artist so I'll work with him on getting it to look how I'd like. Though I'd never considered…
It isn't something you have to do. It's more helpful on the directing end, so if you'd like to do both it's nice to have them drawn up. Though some people I know like to have them drawn up before they even start to write to help them keep everything together and in order, but that's more a personal choice.
Right now. I did this from my smartphone in the walk-in so my boss wouldn't see me.
Without seeing how well this actually works, this is an awesome idea in concept. I'm terrible at storyboarding the screenplays I write since I can't draw for shit.
It will never top Rated R for me, but it's my 2nd favorite. And I can't believe the review didn't mention "I Appear Missing". It's my favorite song on the album.
This is such an improvement over "Permalight", which was admirable for stepping outside of their comfort zone, but just didn't work for me.
They way you spelled that, it reads like John Matrix thanking his daughter in "Commando".
That image of the mushroom-covered people still fucks with me, and I've been a horror film junkie since I was like 5. So, so supremely messed up, and I mean that in the best way possible.
(waves)
Except Neil Marshall wrote Dog Soldiers, The Descent, and (fuck it, I like it) Doomsday. I understand people not liking the latter, but the first two are goddamn great and he wrote them himself.
I see you already have an answer but I just want to jump in and show my love for "Intruder". It's the last great 80s slasher, and better than a large majority of the "classics".
He actually says he's a fan, which is cool since most rappers refuse to acknowledge Esham even exists.
Haha, and the worst part is literally the day after I posted this comment I came down with either a terrible cold or walking pneumonia. I'm still really, really sick. I'm wearing a goddamn jacket at work.
