What Would Jack Burton Do
avclub-2850d3b69679c93faf8a00aa3cd7b734--disqus

Just got a weird look from a coworker for laughing.

Sorry.  I forgot where I was.

This is what I imagine it would sound if like someone performed an abortion with a microphone.

Dakota Fanning

Also included in the lawsuit: IMDB user "donttalkaboutfightclub69", after saying "Damn this bitch is old lol" on her discussion board.

That's actually a really great way of looking at it.

Check my edit.  I'm not comparing what they did, but more the fact that Morrissey is constantly doing things to remind me that I hate him as a person.

See, I know what you mean.  I actually really liked "Apocalypto", but that's because I didn't have to see Gibson. I have the same thing with Tom Cruise.  I can't watch anything he does anymore without thinking about what a lunatic he is.  However, I can still watch "The Road Warrior" or a pre-2006 Tom Cruise film.

I'm usually really good at separating the art from the artist (i.e. I can sit and watch a film by Polanski with no problems), but goddamn is Morrissey putting that to the test.

I think "Second Coming" is better than it gets credit for.

That's hilarious.

I can't believe we've made it 22 comments without someone dogging on Pitchfork (who gave this a 9.1).  But I agree with what others are saying: this review is way, way off.  This album is incredible.

@avclub-f121d09285898f1c66d66f1e6f0455a6:disqus That's fucking awesome.  On the "sad endings" side of things for Clavin & Hobbes, there's a song called "My Tiger My Heart" by The Boy Least Likely To that imagines them growing apart because of age.  Great song, but depressing as shit.  Here's the lyrics:

I'll check it out tonight.

He gets a free pass, but only if he does it with a tire iron.

Uncomfortably?

Well, in all fairness to the Nazis, they never wrote a song like "Rock Star".

Fine, replace "Nazi" with "Westboro Baptist".

Well, everyone who doesn't wear Affliction clothing wins, obviously.  But it's not like there's a real clear-cut good guy or bad guy in the situation.

I totally see where you're coming from, but then I remember he was killed by another sex offender (whose crime was probably way more horrific, honestly).  I can't root for that.  It'd be like a Nazi killing another Nazi.  Or the lead singer of Nickelback killing the guitarist.  There's no such things as villains or
