I like Chris Gethard. I like the Chris Gethard Show, and I bought and liked A Bad Idea I'm About to Do. But I thought he was terrible in this show. Just really, really bad. Uncomfortable to watch bad.

I wonder where Nowalk got the idea to add an 'E' to the spelling of Antwon's name.

Here's something that may help you get over hearing Glenn Close say those words — she never actually said those words. Walton Goggins did. On the DVD special features, they actually show the behind the scenes argument about that. The line was written for Rawling, but Glenn Close refused to say it. She thought it made

Goddamn, I am happy these classic reviews (and wallflower's ensuing commentaries) are back. They don't get a lot of comments, so I just wanted to speak up and voice my enthusiasm.

Hooray for opinions.

You can concede a lot and still think the show is better than the books. I know I do. I would agree that the books are "deeper" as in more detailed, I agree the books do better by their female characters, I agree that they did Robb/Jeyne better even if I don't understand the conviction with which that argument is

The comic is really great, but it's one of the most gritty / dark things out there when it comes to bad language, drug use, violence, sex, nudity — basically any kind of bad behavior. I'm not familiar with WGN. Are they even allowed to say "fuck?"

The two guys from the screencap (Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins) also appear together in Undisputed II, which is a gem of a DTV action movie. Way better than it has any right or reason to be.

Since that's a pretty aggressive timetable, I wonder if that means Chris Evans will have to go right from Avengers 2 to Captain America 3. I don't think any other Marvel hero has done that yet, have they? Had to play their character twice in a row?

I think Season 3 is hugely underrated. Neal McDonough is one of my favorite actors to see go all unhinged.

Might not fit the article, because Southland had to trim its cast anyway, because it couldn't afford the full bench after losing some of its budget in the switch from NBC to TNT.

James Burrows direction has unfortunately become a sign the show isn't going to be very good. He's a sitcom legend, and he deserves a lifetime of respect for Cheers, but I think he's just one of those guys that kept at it too long. It's not even that he just chooses bad projects. His pilots in recent years have all

Daughters give their dads shirts. My sister gives my dad a new shirt every Christmas.

I actually don't know that I'd vouch for it being a good movie. I mean, I liked it, but I dunno. Though it's definitely an amazing case study for the 'Elizabeth Banks would have been a good Skyler' theory.

Hey wallflower, I've seen you make that Elizabeth Banks claim before, and I agree. I'm wondering — have you seen "The Details," a 2011 movie starring Tobey Maguire? By the end of it, that movie essentially shows you *exactly* what Elizabeth Banks would look like playing Skyler.

I read the pilot script for the "teenage Bruce" show. Trust me, there would have been nothing about it to appreciate.

Banshee is also on Friday nights, and it's amazing, and it's insane it doesn't get the recognition it deserves around here. I feel like boosting for it, so here's some articles if you're on the fence:

Why is it that Banshee is never mentioned in these things? It's one of the most gloriously pulpy shows to have ever been, and it's doing the best, most brutal action sequences on TV right now (arguably ever — there are only a few close contenders). It deserves more love.

Good point, I've thought about Galifianakis a lot as a comparison. It's a similar thing, in that also plays the piano and is another guy that doesn't do set-up jokes or even really tell funny stories. But I *do* get his appeal.
