I'm with you. For its entire running time, 'American Sniper' seemed to portray Kyle as a flawed and possibly not-too-bright guy who genuinely believed in what he was doing (without thinking too much about the 'why'), and was ground up and spat out by the war machine for his efforts.

Cruz knows how the game is played in Washington and would have been able to enact much more of his insane agenda. By contrast, Trump is a complete political novice, and if he were elected, he'd have no ability to get anything done. Frankly, I'd be surprised if he lasted 6 months in office before quitting.

Much as I try not to rejoice in anyone's misfortune, I am so, so thankful that, whatever else may happen in 2016, it appears that we'll be spared the horrors of a Cruz presidency.
