They made a great book based off the Department of Temporal Investigations. It's a bit meaty in it's time-travel methods/causes/effects, but if you like the time travel paradox stuff like on Trek, check out the first book. I have yet to read the second.

Remember though, since the Prophets live outside of linear time, they could reasonably return Sisko in only a day or so (Although, SPOILER FOR THE BOOKS… they don't.)
