@Harvey: The sets in question were from Star Trek: Phase II as well as the movies. In a way I'm glad that is what happened: you can see a real connection between the Enterprise in the movies and the D, which tied everything together more so than just sharing a title.

Nope, she never is. There used to be a series of parodies called "Star Wreck" that were good for a laugh when I read them in Jr. High. Anyway, there was one book that dealt with the very same issue, and in the end they find Lwaxana in a Wizard of Oz scenario, hiding behind a curtain and talking for the "CPU."

@Mizerock: That's the only reason a lot of fans liked seeing her, I think. We're used to the Picard as a stoic captain, and seeing him getting annoyed was always pretty good for a laugh.

I don't know, Prole Hole. I always figured we just used F to stand for "Fail".

Writing and the Crew
I think a big problem with the first season in regards to the crew is the standard "no one really had an idea where they wanted to take them" problem. The writers had a sort-of back story about the characters, but no idea where to advance them and how. Whether or not this is due to Roddenberry

Q
At least his next visit is a much, much better episode.

Once we get out of the first two seasons all will be well.

@ Hope: Mr. Homm dies, and she leads a resistance cell against the Jem'Hadar. There is an actual book on the entire occupation, or at least the final battle to drive the Dominion off, but I've never read it. The story with the attack is in Tales of the Dominion War, which isn't too bad of a collection of short stories.

The majesty of lyrics such as "my hat is like a shark's fin" can never be bottled and reproduced.

Zoe Saldana
Seems to be in every movie now. Not that I'm complaining- she's pretty great to look at. I thought she was a pretty damn good Uhura.

Leviticus also tells us to sequester women while they are on their period and not contact them until they've been cleansed.

Remember the good ol' days when a network would name itself after its programming and not fucking change every two years?

Execubot: "REALITY SHOWS ARE IN."

What We Need to Know
is how many people are actually going to give him money.

Flaubert, that play sounds awesome.

You can never have too many State cast members.

Yeah, I remember when the news didn't cover things the President did.

I thought the court ordered you to stop with the surprises, O'Neal?

"But you didn't do anything!"
"Didn't I?" *Beams up*

I blame the liberal media.
